Why Don't I Have Water?

Service Request Submit OnlineIf you don't have water or are experiencing issues with your water service, please follow these steps:

  1. Check our Home Page for Emergency Shutdowns in your area. If there is an emergency shutdown in progress, you will see the Emergency Alert message like the one below at the top of the page. Click on the alert for more information.

  2. Check the Scheduled Water Shutdown Calendar. The calendar lists the areas where water service may be temporarily disrupted for maintenance.
  3. Check to make sure that all water service valves are in the "on" position. The two main valves used to shut off the water for a residential home are located in a round plastic box just in front of the meter box, which is generally near the street in front of the home, and where the water supply enters the house, either outside or just inside the garage. The valves are in the "on" position when the handle runs parallel with the supply pipe and are in the "off" when the handle is turned 90 degrees to the water supply pipe. Some service valves have a round handle. With these valves, you turn the handle counterclockwise to turn the water supply on and clockwise to turn the water supply off.
